Apartment dog waste station service: same $15 week, units as homes

A leasing-office can is not a pet waste program. Garden apartments, podium buildings, and fenced dog runs use the same Scooponomics rate HOA boards use: $15 per station per week, weekly only. Type units as homes. That is an estimate for the owner packet — not a formal quote.

Why apartments fill differently

Turnover resets the dog census every lease cycle. A pretty station by the office does not cover the dumpster run, the garage-row sidewalk, or the creek-side path residents actually walk. Weekend guests add waste the unit count never sees. The office still needs one shared number before the next owner call.

Scooponomics does not invent a mid-week pickup or a “busy season” adder. Weekly is the method. If a dog run is the busy can, plan the high end of bag use — about 1 roll (200 bags) per station per week there, and about 0.5 on a quiet interior can. Read layout and bags before you buy a case.

What to type

  1. Stations you can photograph today, or the count you want on a weekly route.
  2. Units in the homes field. That unlocks the Scooponomics Index and the per-home (per-unit) split.
  3. Dogs if the office counted them. Otherwise the calculator starts at 0.68 per door — all units, including units with no dog.
  4. What you pay now, if a landscaper or vendor line already exists. Savings stay on the results cards. There is no mid-flow popup.

Example — not a named community

240 units, 6 stations. Weekly $90. Monthly $389.70 ($15 × 6 × 4.33). Starting layout from units would be about 12 stations (2 per 40). Six cans on 240 doors is light if a dog run and a dumpster alley are both in play. The estimate still uses the six you typed unless you change the count. Load 240 units / 6 stations.

When to get a quote

Request a quote when you want someone to walk gates, the dog run, and the path residents use after 6 p.m. Put the city on the form. Notes that help: whether the run is resident-only, whether the current vendor is weekly, and whether landscaping is already scooping the islands.

Service in Nashville-area, Atlanta, and Knoxville markets is handled on the ground by Doo Doo Blues where they already run routes. Scooponomics stays the calculator. Same $15 math everywhere on this site.

Apartment questions

Can apartments use the same $15 dog-station math as an HOA?

Yes. Treat units as homes. Weekly is $15 per station. Monthly is $15 × stations × 4.33. Annual is that monthly number × 12. Board or property-manager estimate, not a formal quote.

What should a property manager type into Scooponomics?

Stations you have now or want, then units as homes. Override dogs when the office has a better census than 0.68 per door. Add what you pay now if you want the savings line on the results cards.
